Acer first show AMD Fusion APU tablet

At CES 2011, there were quite a few tablet computers and a lot of AMD APU products. Acer took the two together and put on a "Iconia Tablet", which is the world's first tablet based on the AMD Fusion Fusion platform.

Acer Iconia Tablet body black tone, weighing about one kilogram (2.2 pounds), thickness of about 15 mm, 10.1-inch screen, supports up to four touch operation, the internal configuration uses an AMD Ontario C-50 APU processor, dual-core , clocked at 1GHz, comes with DX11 graphics core Radeon HD 6250, thermal design power 9W, while there are 2GB DDR3 memory, 32GB solid state drive.

The tablet is also equipped with a front and back dual 1.3 megapixel camera, USB 2.0 interface, HDMI interface, two audio interfaces, etc., pre-installed operating system Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium, support for Wi-Fi/3G wireless technology.

It is worth mentioning that Acer also prepared an extension base, providing QWERTY standard physical keyboard, USB 2.0 interface, RJ-45 network interface and so on.

Specific time to market and pricing are unknown, but estimates should be later in the quarter.
