On February 9, 2014, the Guangdong Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection informed that Wu Zhouchun, the former general manager of Guangdong Power Grid Corporation, was under investigation for suspected violations of discipline.
The website of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection's Supervision Department released on April 21 that the head of the Yinchuan Electric Power Supply Bureau of Ningxia Electric Power Corporation, Ma Linguo (Deputy Department), was suspected of serious violations of the law and is currently being investigated by the organization.
There are also many anti-corruption actions at the coal level that are related to the power system. On April 17, 2014, Song Lin, Chairman of China Resources Group, was investigated and suspected of committing serious violation of laws and regulations. The problems involved by Song Lin are related to coal in Shanxi. In addition, in April this year, Wei Pengyuan, Deputy Director of the Coal Division of the National Energy Administration, was also investigated.
National Grid Opens "Exchange" Mode

Starting from April 17, the National Audit Office dispatched hundreds of people from five special offices to the State Grid Corporation of China and was conducting the economic responsibility audit of the chairman Liu Zhenya. This is a supervised audit of the main leading cadres of state-owned enterprises.

It is understood that from the end of 2013, the National Audit Office began a comprehensive special audit on the power system.
