The first batch of national science and technology plan projects started in the "12th Five-Year Plan"

The National Key Basic Research and Development Plan (973 Program) and the National Major Scientific Research Plan 2011 Project Implementation Conference were held in Beijing on April 20th. This is the first batch of projects initiated by the National Science and Technology Plan during the 12th Five-Year Plan period.

According to reports, the characteristics of these project deployments are: Pilot launch of 11 major scientific problem-oriented projects such as “High-temperature superconducting materials and physics research”; continuous improvement of field layout, establishment of a new manufacturing and engineering science field; and strengthening of major national science and technology projects Linking up and launching the implementation of nearly 20 projects related to large-scale oil and gas development, optoelectronic devices, infectious diseases, new drug development, integrated circuits, large-scale equipment, land observations, and manned spaceflights, in an effort to provide smooth implementation of major projects. Scientific foundation and source innovation; increase theoretical support for strategic emerging industries, and deploy nearly 30 projects around strategic emerging industries such as energy conservation and environmental protection, electric vehicles, new energy, biotechnology, new generation information technology, and new materials; Support for agriculture and people's livelihood, centering on the backbone of food crops, rice molecular design breeding, soil carbon sequestration in natural forests and grasslands, electromagnetic radiation and airborne particulate matter, health, atherosclerosis, pathogenesis of type II diabetes, major engineering catastrophes, and speed 500 kilometers of high-speed trains and other aspects of the deployment of nearly 4 0 projects, more than 1 billion yuan in project funding, strive to allow basic research results to benefit hundreds of millions of people.

The National Major Scientific Research Program continues to adhere to forward-looking plans this year. It has set up 64 projects in six projects including protein research, quantum control research, nano-science research, development and reproduction research, global change research and stem cell research, with a total investment of 1.56 billion yuan. .
