1. The TN type employs the most basic display technology in liquid crystal displays, and other types of liquid crystal displays have been improved based on the TN type. The figure shows a simplified construction of a TN-type liquid crystal display, including a polarizing plate in a vertical direction and a horizontal direction, an alignment film having a fine groove, a liquid crystal material, and a conductive glass substrate.

2. The display principle of the STN type is similar to that of the TN. The difference is that the TN twisted nematic field effect liquid crystal molecules rotate the incident light by 90 degrees, while the STN super twisted nematic field effect rotates the incident light by 180 to 270 degrees.

3. The DSTN scans a twisted nematic liquid crystal display through dual scans to achieve the purpose of display. DSTN is developed from Super Twisted Nematic Displays (STNs). Because DSTN adopts dual scanning technology, the display effect is greatly improved compared to STN.

The TFT-type liquid crystal display is relatively complicated, and is mainly composed of a fluorescent tube, a light guide plate, a polarizing plate, a filter plate, a glass substrate, an alignment film, a liquid crystal material, a thin mode transistor, and the like. First of all, the liquid crystal display must first use a backlight source, that is, a fluorescent tube, to project the light source. These light sources will first pass through a polarizer and then pass through the liquid crystal. At this time, the arrangement of the liquid crystal molecules will change the angle of light passing through the liquid crystal, and then these lights must also pass through the front color filter film and the other polarizer. Therefore, we only need to change the value of the voltage applied to the liquid crystal to control the intensity and color of the last light, so that a combination of different colors can be changed on the LCD panel.
