In the patent dispute between Osram Opto Semiconductors and Taiwanese LED manufacturer Kingbright Electronic, the German District Court of Düsseldorf almost supported all of the former claims. The court ruled that this Taiwan Electronics violated Osram's patent and utility model rights.
According to the judgment, Jintai Electronics Co., Ltd. must not continue to sell certain LED products in Germany, and must destroy the inventory of these products in Germany. The court confirmed that Taitai Electronics infringed on three Osram patents but postponed a decision on a patent for LED packaging technology.
