Qianjia.com: As a senior expert in the industry, would you please tell us about the current development of the security industry?
Professor Chen Long: Security is very hot now. The reason why I am so hot, I think the main points are as follows. First, the needs of the market. Why are many media now so interested in the small industry of security? The reason is the market demand. Large-scale events such as the Olympic Games, Shanghai World Expo, and Asian Games will be held one after another, and the security market will be particularly large.
The second is the “3111†project being carried out in China. More than 600 cities across the country, now 400 are in the "safe city." As a major reviewer of “Safe Cityâ€, I have a deep understanding of it. Now almost all the manufacturers are working on a safe city. The first pilot cities are 22 pilot cities. I have rated 11 of them. In the process, we found “Safe Cityâ€. "The security of the city is a very big development. Nowadays, many cities and even some small towns and villages are doing security.
The third is IT security, security IT. Nowadays, after the implementation of the "3111" project, it has to cooperate with all the current telecom operators; like Cisco's IT, it used to be unprotected, but it took 51 million to acquire a small security in the United States. The company, which is optimistic about the very good technology of this small company; IBM last year also developed a new "0 intelligent monitoring system" called "S3".
Security technology is changing with each passing day. Like real estate in Beijing, security is well done and may be much more expensive than other properties. Qianjia.com: Digital security is a fashionable concept. It appears frequently in the media. Everyone is very concerned. What is digital security? In today's technological development, what direction will digital security develop?
Professor Chen Long: Security should be fully simulated at the earliest. Later, DVRs, DVRs are digital. We generally don't mention digital security now. Digitalization is the basis of future network monitoring, so we only talk about network monitoring. Because the network can solve transmission problems anywhere, anytime. Of course the network must be digitized. For example, now that safe city uses network storage, what are the advantages of network storage? Its advantage is that the capacity is large, such as the amount of image of a camera a day, about 5-6GB. If you want to save for 15 days, then one camera will have 90 G. Then the storage of the city or a range of hundreds of cameras must have a large storage space. And I think that storage must be decentralized.
Digitalization is the foundation of the future network. It now faces two problems, one is to solve the transmission problem, and the other is to solve the storage problem.
Qianjia.com: Everyone feels that there are many security companies, but they are concentrated in small enterprises. At the same time, there have been some cases of large capital mergers and acquisitions last year. How do you see the development of security brands?
Professor Chen Long: Like CSST's acquisition of seven companies, this is a case of concern. Like other industries, there must be large enterprises in China. Including experts like us, we are all looking forward to having large companies. So why do so many small businesses in the security industry live very well? Because in China's society, there are still projects based on relationship, not exactly according to the city as a camera, two or three thousand yuan is very good, but some people do not necessarily buy, may buy more than one hundred yuan, because There are mixed interests and long-term cooperation. Therefore, market development requires an integration process. The development of security brands has been released in the past and may be slowly merged now. After a period of development, Chinese companies have already had considerable strength. In the future, in the security industry, I expect that there will be dozens of very powerful companies, chain stores, and stores. For example, now Tiandi Weiye Company, Kai'an Anti-Supermarket, one-stop service; like Tianjin Ya'an, Guangzhou Meidian Bell has developed well.
At present, 70% of the major security companies are in the Pearl River Delta, 20% in the Yangtze River Delta, and 10% in the Beijing-Tianjin region. There are too many small businesses and there should be an integration process. I think this is a process. If it is reasonably distributed, large, medium and small enterprises need to have it. Large enterprises are leading, it represents strong technology and strong development capabilities; medium-sized enterprises are more suitable to integrate with system integration, intelligent buildings and smart homes; small enterprises are some enterprises with advanced research and development capabilities, and the number is small. However, there is a problem for large enterprises, that is, the direction of transfer is difficult, it depends on the market; medium-sized enterprises are mainly services; small enterprises are mainly based on high-tech development. Therefore, the development of security companies must have their own positioning.
Qianjia.com: On March 21 today, the Ministry of Construction approved the “Code for Design of Video Security Monitoring System†as a national standard. What is the significance of related engineering design?
Professor Chen Long: The three standards of GB50394, GB50395 and GB50396 are very important and are a specification. Like the GB50348 security engineering technical specifications, the national standards are all publicity, practitioners need to take the exam, participate in this standard publicity class, requires first pass. Standards are very important, at least they can be said to be valid, whether it is important to the company to the individual.
Last year, the Ministry of Labor and Social Security released the sixth batch of 14 new occupational information to the society, and the “Safety Protection System Design Appraiser†was included in the new occupation. The relevant textbooks are now being written. I am also one of the main judges of this set of textbooks. The textbooks are initially divided into primary, intermediate and advanced. In the future, if you want to engage in the security industry, you must have this certificate. The basic requirements of applicants must have at least a college degree. The primary requirement is to engage in one year of experience in the security industry. The intermediate requirements require three years of experience. If the senior requirements are more than five years, they are eligible to participate in training and examinations. This is a big event for China's security industry.
Qianjia.com: What are the new development trends in future security technologies?
Professor Chen Long: I personally think that the simulation system still exists, the simulation system will exist in two or three years; and the future will be network monitoring represented by the safe city. Therefore, there are three future developments: one is that the old system still exists; the other is that it will gradually overtake to the monitoring system represented by the network; the third is the level of intelligence. Intelligentization is the highest level. Nowadays, the fingerprints, palm prints, face and other technologies are relatively simple. If you can combine multiple technologies, the security protection ability can be greatly enhanced.
Qianjia.com: Can you tell us about the topics you are studying and the related results?
Professor Chen Long: I am currently working on some relevant standards in the public security system, especially the review and acceptance of the Safe City program. In the case of the safe city, a total of 19 standards have to be produced, and now one is completed, and 6-10 standards will be completed this year. A range of standards including image compression, image storage, and software platforms. Now has released a general technical rule called "General Technical Requirements for Urban Surveillance Networked Alarm System" (GAT669). I am a guiding expert in the storage group and management software platform group. My main job now is still to do the review of the “3111†project in Safe City. In terms of intelligent buildings, I have written a lot of books, and I have done a lot in academics, and I will continue to do so in the future.
