Italy Photovoltaic Power Generation Over 16GW

According to the figures released by the Italian energy agency GSE, Italy has a total of 456,575 grid-connected photovoltaic power plants, which are currently operating in operation thanks to the national V incentive plan of Conto Energia. The total capacity of solar photovoltaic power generation at these power plants is 16.6 GW.

In addition, 3,620 factories across the country have registered on-grid tariff subsidies, and their overall photovoltaic capacity will increase by 665 MW.

Including the registered photovoltaic power generation system, the annual PV award amount is 6.473 billion euros (about 8.289 billion US dollars). The limit of this incentive plan is 6.7 billion euros, which means that the government has only 227 million euros left and will stop solar energy subsidies for new photovoltaic installations.

These government plans to withdraw from the incentive mechanism and have been confirmed by the newly proposed national energy strategy. The publication of the relevant documents is pending.
