Slaney pointed out that Apple has managed to significantly reduce the power consumption of the new MacBook Pro at low performance. If you just browse the article on the web page and there are no other tasks in the background, you can get up to 18 hours of battery life.
At high loads, the power consumption of the new MacBook Pro is similar to that of its predecessor. However, because its battery capacity has been reduced by 25%, there have been cases where the battery life is not as previous. For some highly demanding professional users, this is obviously not satisfactory. Such users will frequently run high-performance demand processing tasks, and Apple's optimization does not play much of a role here.
Many professional users do not like the way of life optimization adopted by Apple, but Slaney thinks this is not a big deal. "Personally, I hope that Apple can develop a giant notebook weighing 10 pounds with dual graphics cards, but this is clearly impossible." He said, "I think the concerns about the MacBook Pro's battery life have been exaggerated."
Slaney pointed out that his conclusions come from his own observations rather than strict tests. However, this does explain the user's polarized view of the MacBook Pro's battery life.
What should they do for consumers who are preparing or have purchased the new MacBook Pro? Observing the power consumption of a device is one of them - this can be done with Slaney or other developer applications. If you find that an application you use every day consumes a lot of power, but there are no substitutes, the new MacBook Pro may not satisfy you.
If you don't use high-performance applications at all times, you won't use a web browser to open a bunch of labels. The MacBook Pro's endurance may exceed the official promotion of 10 hours.
It is worth noting that macOS Sierra has been able to support mobile power.
