AMD today announced at the Eastern Embedded Systems Conference in Boston that it will introduce the new embedded graphics "Radeon E6460", which is based on the DX11 architecture just as the previously announced high-end model Radeon E6760, but is specifically targeted at the entry-level market. Radeon E6460 uses GPU chip, memory particle integrated BGA package, the overall size of 33 × 33 mm, and the oldest brother Radeon E6760 is the same system design, easy to upgrade and replace, and there are five years of long-term technical support.
Radeon E6460 has two SIMD engines, 160 stream processors, 600MHz core frequency, single-precision peak floating-point performance 192GFlops, equipped with 64-bit 512MB GDDR5 memory, equivalent frequency 3200MHz, thermal design power consumption is about 20W. Basically, it is a close relative of the entry-level Radeon HD 6450.
Radeon E6460 fully supports DX11, SM5.0, OpenGL 4.1, OpenCL 1.1, DirectCompute 11, AMD APP acceleration calculations, AMD HD3D stereo output and other technologies, integrated UVD3 decoding engine, support H. 264, VC-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4 part 2 and other formats of video hardware decoding, also supports Blu-ray, stereoscopic 3D, dual HD decoding, picture-in-picture and other technologies.
The video output can support VGA×3, single-link DVI×4, dual-link DVI×1, HDMI 1.4a×1, DisplayPort 1.1a×2, DisplayPort 1.2×3, single-link LVDS×1, and dual-link LVDS×1. The Eyefinity multi-screen output technology is also preserved, and up to four displays can be connected, but it must be ensured that at least two of them are connected to the DP. In addition, the card also has four HDCP keys built-in.
AMD claims that Radeon E6460's 3DMark Vantage scores up to P2195, which is more than six times that of its predecessor, the Radeon E2400, and its 3DMark06 score is also about 2.5x.
Not only that, it can also be paired with embedded G-series APU processors, providing greater graphics performance and accelerated computing performance.
