Recently, Diodes introduced a 1A linear mode constant current driver DLD101 LED for general lighting products such as flashlights, emergency lighting, garden lighting and poolside applications to reduce the size and cost of applications.
It is reported that the highly integrated DLD101 LED driver is optimized in a small-sized flat DFN package, which saves designers a lot of board space, and the high thermal efficiency of the package ensures higher power consumption than the SOT23IC. The DLD101 not only reduces PCB area and external component count for LED driver solutions, it also completely eliminates the EMI characteristics of switching regulator solutions.
At the same time, the DLD101 incorporates a unique "base-access pre-bias transistor" that integrates a bias resistor on-chip to set the LED current through a single external resistor without the need for additional boost transistors. In terms of bypass components, a high drain current 60VN channel MOSFET is used instead of a bipolar transistor to reduce the overall bias current.
