Have any friends found a problem. Among the power options of Win10, there are only three "sleep, shutdown, and restart". The previous "hibernation" has completely disappeared. If you want to put the computer into the standby state, you can only choose from Wake up "sleep", why is this?
Looking through Microsoft's documentation, since the "hibernation" function requires too much disk space and standby power consumption, it is not in line with the trend of the "mainly energy-saving, thin and light" era, so it was quietly killed. But since Win10 has the ability to choose not to use "hibernation", then we can also go the other way and add or subtract "hibernation" and "sleep" options for the power options according to our own needs. Don't rush to open the registry or open the command prompt, these options are available in the control panel, but the location is not spicy so easy to find.
Go to "Control Panel-Power Options" in turn, and then click "Select the function of the power button" on the left,
After entering, the gray area below (the part that cannot be directly selected), and the content related to power options are all here.
If you want to add or delete options, you only need to click on the "change currently unavailable settings" at the top, and then check or uncheck the corresponding options, which can be intuitively reflected in the power options. You will want all of them. How about hibernation, sleep and other functions, or just keep restarting and shutting down?
By the way, pay attention to the "Start fast startup" option. Although it can speed up the speed of starting the computer, as long as it is checked, the shutdown of Win10 will not be a real shutdown state. Occasionally, the computer will inexplicably self-start or shut down. Restart is a "quick start" pot, just turn it off.
