A relationship between the three major standards
In accordance with the practice, China's national standards for electronic equipment are basically the relevant standards for full-text translation of IEC, and the field of information technology-related safety standards is no exception. The formulation of national standard 4943 is basically the standard for full-text translation of EN60950, although in recent years there have been 20072010 versions. Updated, but the basic experimental project has not changed, still based on the GB4943-2001 version.
The US UL certification system and IEC are two completely different systems, but as IEC is cited by more and more countries, UL has begun to move closer to IEC standards in some aspects. The security standards for information technology are an example. The UL60950 and EN60950 statements are identical, but only distinguish the special voltage specification information in the Americas.
In summary, both GB and UL refer to the IEC EN60950 standard. For ease of understanding, the following interpretations are based on GB4393. EN60950 is identical to GB. UL is only used as a source and is not interpreted.

"The solid insulation used in the equipment shall have sufficient electrical strength.
When the heat test is carried out in accordance with the provisions of 4.5.1, when the equipment is still in a sufficiently hot state, the equipment shall be tested immediately in accordance with the provisions of 5.2.2 to verify its eligibility.
If some components or components are tested separately for electrical strength outside the equipment, the components that are subjected to the heat test (for example, placed in an oven) are allowed to reach a certain temperature. However, The electrical strength test of a thin layer of insulating material with insulation or reinforced insulation is allowed to be carried out at room temperature according to 2.10.5.2"
For the general requirements of the sample, summarize three points
1) For the whole machine, first perform the heat test according to 4.5.1, and then immediately conduct the electric strength test when the heat is in the state;
2) For the component (except for the material used for reinforced insulation): Firstly, the surface temperature T1 of the component after the heat test should be measured in the equipment laboratory, and then the electrode should be first heated to the electric strength test. Experiment after T1;
3) For materials used as reinforced insulation: Allow to test the electric strength at room temperature.
Among the above three points, the first thing that is closely related to us is that the whole machine experiment must be carried out immediately after the fever test.
