[High-tech LED News] Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. announced that it has developed "in-car LED lighting" that meets the fire protection requirements of subway vehicles. The power consumption is 26W per unit, and the power consumption is expected to be reduced by more than 40% compared with the ordinary 40W fluorescent lamp (about 47W).
The life of the LED lighting in the cabin is about 40,000 hours, which is about 3 times that of the above ordinary fluorescent lamps. Using a non-flammable glass cover, the LED with a color temperature of 5000K improves the brightness of the interior of the car. The luminous flux is about 2000 lm and the energy consumption efficiency is 77 lm/W. The size is 1280 mm × 80 mm × 82 mm and weighs 4.5 kg.
In addition, Matsushita Electric also announced that the company has developed a prototype of "LED headlamps for railway vehicles" using its own optical design technology, thermal design technology and quality evaluation technology. Vehicle headlamps currently use halogen-enclosed luminaires (a type of incandescent lamp), while newly developed LED headlamps have a lifetime of 20 times that of 40,000 hours (when the luminous flux maintenance rate drops to 70%). In addition, the power consumption is about 1/5 of the halogen-enclosed luminaire (about 32W for the main lamp and about 16W for the sub-lamp), and the LED is used in the headlamp, which is expected to reduce the power consumption by about 80%.
