For a long time, western countries that have grasped the leading technology of super-computing have imposed strict controls on developing countries, including China, and only allowed these countries to have a computing power of 1% of the international level. China's supercomputer development started in the 1960s. After decades of unremitting efforts, it has achieved fruitful results. The emergence of a number of domestic high-end computing systems such as “Galaxy”, “Shenwei”, “Dawn”, “deep levitation” and so on have made China the third country with the capability to independently develop high-end computing systems after the United States and Japan. In 1983, it successfully developed the "Galaxy" billion supercomputers, making China one of the few countries that can develop supercomputers.

"Although from the point of view of direct operations, the majority of super-calculated solutions are large and challenging, and their high-end applications are also confined to certain specific areas, but it cannot be denied that super-calculations are closely linked with the lives of ordinary people. The optimization of car and aircraft design, information services to support online games, special effects for movies, modern logistics, etc. These are all issues that must be faced in the lives of ordinary people,” said Professor Qian Depei.

Speaking of the next application plan, Zhang Yunquan said that after more than one year of open operation tests for the "Tianhe-1A" and the advent of "Blue Light," China has made a lot of new developments in the research and development of supercomputer applications. The research and development level of massively parallel application software is gradually improving. “The next step we hope to make a solid application effect is to see if we can use supercomputing to simulate important scientific breakthroughs, discover new laws, and resolve more major issues concerning the national economy and people’s livelihood.”

Zhang Yunquan also stressed that China’s super-computing development is very fast. At present, the country is increasing its investment in science and technology to solve the problem of short-circuit applications. Local supercomputing centers are also carrying out their own super-computing layouts and development plans. In this ranking, “Tianhe No. 1A, No. 3, Shenhe Blu-ray, Tianhe No. 1 A-HN, and Nebula were all installed at the National Supercomputer Center.
