Epitaxial wafer foundry TSMC has established two subsidiaries, TSMC Solar NA and TSMC Lighting NA, in Delaware, USA, which are responsible for the sales of solar and LED related products.
TSMC actively expands its new LED business; TSMC's LED lighting technology R&D center and mass production plant in Zhuke are groundbreaking in March 2010. It is expected to be completed by the end of 2010, and Q1 will be put into trial production in 2011.
