The unidirectional thyristor has three electrodes, an anode A, a cathode K, and a gate G, and is composed of a four-layer semiconductor PNPN. The unidirectional thyristor has three PN junctions, and its internal structure and equivalent circuit symbols are shown in Figure 4-10. The single-phase thyristor can be equivalently formed as a combination of a PNP-type triode V1 and an NPN-type triode V2. The V1 base is connected to the V2 collector, and the Vl collector is connected to the V2 base. The connection is a thyristor. The emitter of the control electrode G, Vl is extremely thyristor anode A, and the emission of V2 is extremely thyristor cathode K. Before the thyristor is triggered, the anode A and the cathode K are turned off. After the thyristor is triggered, the anode A and the cathode K are turned on, and the current flows from the anode A to the cathode K. The circuit is as shown in the following figure. Show.
When a forward trigger voltage is applied between the thyristor gate G and the cathode K, the thyristor is turned on and the load is passed through. After the thyristor is turned on, as long as the forward voltage is maintained between A and K and a certain current is maintained, the thyristor can be kept in the on state by removing the trigger voltage. When the voltage and current between A and K cannot be maintained, or when the polarity of the voltage between A and K changes, the thyristor turns off from conduction.
This circuit is simple and the circuit is very stable for reference.
