Steam flow measurement is a large-scale measurement task for enterprises. Temperature and pressure compensation in steam flow measurement is also an old topic. The purpose of temperature and pressure compensation in steam flow measurement is to correct the effect of the density of steam on the measurement results when the operating conditions of the steam deviate from the design conditions. Because the steam is in a gas state, its density changes greatly when its temperature and pressure change. If it is not compensated, the error caused is very large. For example, when designing a saturated water vapor with a pressure of 1 MPa (gauge pressure), when the pressure drops to 0.8 MPa, the density drops to 82% of the design value. If the temperature and pressure compensation is not performed, the influence on the differential pressure flowmeter is the indication value. The increase was 10.4%, and the effect on the vortex flowmeter was to increase the indication by 21.9%. Obviously, the flow measurement object for temperature and pressure changes must be compensated for temperature and pressure in addition to the direct mass flow meter.
Reduce the error method:
When the steam flow meter is installed in the pressure reducing valve before the steam is not decompressed, there is no phase change problem. Therefore, before the pressure gauge is installed in the pressure reducing valve, it can be processed according to the saturated steam compensation method to ensure the measurement accuracy.
If the flowmeter can only be installed behind the pressure reducing valve, a pressure transmitter can be added for temperature and pressure compensation.
If the pressure regulating function of the pressure reducing valve is better, the pressure value upstream of the flow meter can be set as a constant value (operated by the panel) to the secondary meter for temperature and pressure compensation.
